Kaler Kantho is one of the most popular Bengali newspapers in Bangladesh. It was founded by popular Bangladeshi journalist Abed Khan and first published in Dhaka. Abed Khan also acted as its first editor; he would resign in June 2011. Imdadul Haq Milan is now its present editor. He is doing his job with proud. The date of publication is 10 January 2010.

 Though it passes only three years but it achieved its popularity with a very short time. Its daily print run is over 280,000 copies, making it the third-most circulated daily newspaper in Bangladesh. Kaler Kantho having a variety of feature page in their daily paper. 


 Every day they publish media page for film lover with all news of actor actress, film publication, drama news, program schedules etc; international page with international news, economics, relationship etc; sports page for sports lover with all news of cricket, football, tennis, hockey etc; “Syllabus-a Nei” page for students with practice sheet, lesson sheet etc;” Tech Bisshow” for IT sector; letter page for local public. Anybody can send an open letter for public awareness or on other topic; There are also feature pages known as Tech Protidin, Spot Light, Doctor Asen, Onno Kono Khane, A 2 Z, Campus, Sondhani, Rajkut, Ronger Mela, Sei sob Ghotona, Shila Lipy, Shudhui Dhaka, Tin Tin Toon Ton, Mogoj Dholai, etc. 

Their main domain server is www.kalerkantho.com. They publish daily news online in this link. But they are not having a e-paper system so readers have some difficulties in reading this newspaper. They have to find out the news in particular sector and also in particular page. Everyday day arrange online poll for their online visitors. They asked a question to their visitors with the answers yes or no. Visitors answer the question and then they make a percentage of people voting. It is known as “Jonomot Jorip”. Amardesh is an another daily newspaper. It serves real time news, breaking news, local and international news, sports, entertainment, education, technology and lot more.  The Daily Amardesh is a sister concern Amardesh Publication Ltd. It published from Dhaka in the Bengali language since 2004.

 The exact date is 23 September 2004. But now in 2013 they are passing through a very hard time because government stops their circulation. Before stopping the circulation Amardesh rose sharply to 200,000 copies daily. This daily newspaper considered a popular opposition newspaper in Bangladesh. 

The government has twice closed down the newspaper, and both times its censorship occurred in conjunction with the arrests of editor. The history behind Daily Amardesh has a long story. The first owners of this daily newspaper were Mosaddek Ali Falu and Enayetur Rahman Bappi. The newspaper was sold in 2008 to Journalist Amanullah Kabir. And last editor of Amardesh is Mahmudur Rahman. 

The Daily Amardesh passed through many controversy and this kinds of controversy every time focus the name Amardesh and Mahmudur Rahman also. The skype controversy made agitation all over the country. This conversation was took place between the head justice of Bangladesh's International Crimes Tribunal,Nizamul Huq and international lawyer Ahmed Ziauddin in December 2012.



Critics of the newspaper say it harmed the reputation of Bangladesh's war crimes court and increased religious tensions that led to rioting and violence. Whatever, this daily has started their journey with the mission of Professional Journalism, People Focus, Innovation and Integrity Interactive. They have many supplements like vimrul as funny magazine, Amarjibon, Sahitto, Science and computer Technology, My Heath,Nari, Ekka dokka, Islam History, Campus, Education, Charo dike dakho chahi, Chasbas, Sonali Ropali,Online Pathok ar babna, Nagorik protikcria etc. 

 They also publish their news under this online portal. Though their printed circulation is off now but they are continuously publishing their news through internet. They maintain social networking page also. In their facebook page now they are having a 181,000 likes worldwide. So it can be easily said they have one of the biggest community. They provide this huge amount of user urgent news, breaking news, invite event. Although The Daily Amardesh passing through a hard time but they are trying to survive the hard time. If they survive and the day after tomorrow they publish the real and ture news, they will be able to holding the first or second position in the list of Bangladeshi newspaper.
